Farm Sitting for Barn, Stable and Coop

For people with farm animals, it can be hard to travel. They have unique requirements that may involve more care than friends and neighbors can provide.   That is where a farm (or livestock) sitter comes in to provide the best possible standard of care for the well-being, safety and comfort of your animals in your stead.  For the past six years I worked on a mini-farm with an evolving cast of characters.   I provided for them while the owners were away and sat for others as well. At various times duties have included looking after goats, llamas, alpacas, horses, donkeys, turkeys, chickens, ducks, geese, cats and dogs. I learned to milk with the help of a beautiful little Nigerian Dwarf, Dottie, and assisted with the processing of her milk into cheese and yogurt.   I truly enjoy the work of tending farms, it is a great service and one I value highly when I need to travel. My own tribe includes chickens, cats, Teek the parakeet and the occasional fostered dog rescue. We have all recently relocated to beautiful N. Waterford Maine.
